Introducing Don Jatt
We created these agave spirits to pay tribute to the rich agricultural heritage and expertise of the Jatt community. Our agave spirits are crafted using traditional techniques passed down through generations of mezcaleros, just as the Jatt community has preserved its traditions over centuries.
The Jatt community is a historically agricultural group primarily concentrated in the northwestern region of India and eastern Pakistan. While the origins of the Jatt community are somewhat unclear, they are generally considered to be one of the indigenous ethnic groups of the Punjab region, which has a long and complex history of migration and invasions from various groups and empires.
Historically, the Jatt community comprised small-scale farmers who owned and worked on their land. They were known for their bravery, resilience, and agricultural expertise and played a significant role in the economic and social development of the Punjab region.
